Did you know that every hardware and a built-in component of your computer needs a driver to function normally? You may not notice this because the operating system usually has a large database of drivers that are used by default. If a specific driver is missing, the device cannot be installed. This application provides the manufacturer's driver for the Presonus Audio Diobxx USB device. If the driver for the device is already installed, it will check it and update the driver to the latest version. This driver not only allows the computer to detect the device, but it also provides additional features such as hardware conflicts, compatibility issues, and many other features.

This program is a self-executable file. Therefore, the installation process is not complicated. Just double-click on the installation file and follow the instructions to install the driver on your computer. After the installation is complete, the system must reboot frequently to apply the new driver. Even if the product is discontinued by the manufacturer, the app is still useful for device owners. Many commands that purchase a used version of the device may download the program to install the device on their computer.

I have been reading about optimizing my hardware and settings for low latency, glitch free tracking and mixing for my S1 3 rig. One thing repeated often is to make sure that you are using a low latency ASIO driver for my AudioBox iTwo. I am registered and have access to my downloads for S1 and my audio interface but I cannot find a place to download a driver or anywhere in the software to verify if I have this proper driver. Can anyone help me?
My AB F/W is 1.32. My AB driver in device manager is 3.34.0.0. My Universal Control version is 1.8.3.40882.
Thanks,
George

I am using a PreSonus Firestudio Mobile audio interface on Win10 with ASIO drivers. Never had any issues with it. I just noticed (not sure if its related to the 2019.09 update or not) that when I start Cakewalk it changes my driver sampling rate to 96K. Ive never used 96K for anything. Download PreSonus AudioBox VSL Driver 1.1.4364 (Sound Card). Featuring a 6.8-inch Air Motion Transformer (ATM) ribbon tweeter and 6.5-inch, custom-coated, woven composite LF drivers, PreSonus R65 active studio monitors deliver a transparent and highly accurate sound with a wide sweet spot, making them a great choic. Download the AudioBox driver and extract the installer Go to the Presonus Product Downloads Page, download the correct AudioBox USB driver, and save it to your desktop. Quit your web browser and any other application you have running and locate PreSonus AudioBoxUSBx.x32.zip on your desktop.

So downloading the latest version of Universal Control then installs the latest driver for AudioBox iTwo? Is it automatically an ASIO driver for low latency?
Thanks,
George

When you are using the iTwo together with Studio One there's a good chance that you are already using the driver that allows the lowest latency, even if it doesn't say ASIO. Studio One will recognize PreSonus interfaces and use per default the best driver option available for that interface.
What you want to avoid, if possible, with all your other PC audio (apps) is the WDM driver. Set your default system audio to use the iTwo's ASIO driver and do the same from audio apps that have their own audio interface settings menu. UC does offer WDM channel settings but (imho) only as a last resort.

I cant tell what type of driver that I am using. The only place that I can find a reference to a driver for the AudioBox iTwo is in the Windows device manager - 3.34.0.0. Is there anywhere else to look?

I run the AudioBox ASIO driver IN ADDITION TO the Windows driver for the motherboard Realtek audio. I have all Windows sounds and default audio mapped to the Realtek driver. I have all of my music software mapped to the ASIO driver. The ASIO driver installs with the Universal Control app. You can temporarily switch Windows to the ASIO driver when you want to listen to something (like a YT video) with higher quality audio.
Use the little speaker icon in the lower-right of the taskbar.
Left-click brings up a simple audio source selector.
Right-click brings up a menu where you can open the Sound settings or access the Volume mixer.

That creates a potential problem with apps that don’t have an audio interface/driver menu of their own, like most internet browsers. These apps use the system’s default audio settings and, If your system’s sound card/chip doesn’t support ASIO, that will then be a WDM driver.
Oh, and mute system sounds (an audio workstation must).
